All Wednesday evening endurance group runs start from the ‘old leamingtonians rugby football club’. Winter routes tend to be more limited due to the need to keep to well lit roads. Our Wednesday evening group tends to be split into a fast group and a more comfortably paced group. Runs leave the rugby club at 7pm and our fast group takes about an hour to complete 8 miles, with our other group completing a shorter run.
This is winter route 1a , the number indicates the rotation week, the letter indicates the group suitability (‘a’ routes are fast group routes, ‘b’ routes are medium pace group routes, ‘c’ routes are slow pace group routes).
The route, goes down the hill then makes its way into Leamington along the Kenilworth road, then turn left along Cloisters croft and right into Lillington Road, then makes its way south of the river along Willes road, before turning right along Radford Road, making its way past the station and foundry before turning up Princess drive, before heading towards Guys Cliffe and Northumberland Avenue before heading back to the Rugby club.
Post run enjoy a drink in the bar with your fellow runners.
